Throughout my voice server using career, I have gone through three different voice servers: www.teamspeak2.com -> www.gamecomm.com -> www.ventrilo.com. My conclusion is Ventrilo all the way.
Gamecomm Is really clear, but dosent cooperate with my crappy microphone and a few other of my clan members. I would rate this better then teamspeak though. Also has quite a few other options, such as sending files.
Teamspeak Isnt of best quality. Most of your guys you have to ask them to repeat a few times what they said and still don't understand them. Although I believe they're working on a teamspeak3, so i'll probably test this out. Teamspeak is a bit easier to use though.
Ventrilo This thing is just awesome. The voice from everyone is just clear and you'll understand what anyone says for the first time(this is exactly what you need if you want to be successful in constant and clear communication). Unless their microphone blew up, then you probably won't hear what they're saying. Not only that, but it's free from 4velocityservers.com for renting a boosted server
(8 slots is all I need) With ventrilo you can do chat rooms and some other stuff, not exactly sure of its full potential since i'm kind of new to it. It's a little more difficult to understand then teamspeak, but it dosent take too long to get used to.

First I started using TS, then I started using Ventrilo, now I'm back to TS for one of two reasons.
Regardless of how "good" ventrilo sounds, TS sounds just as good and it wont lag out all the time like Ventrilo will on its high codec.
If you have a really poor internet connection, 44,000 hz will lag you out after a few minutes.

Hmm, just curious.. would the machines a server company use effect how good the quality of the voice server will be? I have used Teamspeak on a previous provider and i'd have to say it sucked. But, I think it was running on like dual 2.2 xeons or something like that.
Doubt i'll switch back, since all of my guys havent had a problem with our ventrilo server yet.
